Lee Toric is played by actor Donal Francis Logue. Donal Francis Logue (born February 27, 1966) is a Canadian-Irish actor well known for his role as Sean Finnerty in the television sitcom Grounded for Life (2001–2005). His other notable roles include starring in the film The Tao of Steve, Sons of Anarchy, Vikings and the detective series Terriers.
Logue was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to Irish parents from County Kerry. His father, Michael J. Logue, was once a Carmelite Catholic missionary in Africa, where he met Donal's mother, Elizabeth. They eventually got married and then moved to England. They had four children. Logue has three sisters: Karina, an actress; twin sister Deirdre (who is not in show business); and Eileen, an education consultant. His father is the president of Aisling Industries, which makes microchips for cellphone companies.
Logue lived most of his childhood and teen years in El Centro, California, where he attended Central Union High School, although for his junior year, he attended St Ignatius' College in Enfield, Middlesex, England. While in High School, Donal was the California State Champion in Impromptu Speaking and in 1983 was elected President of the American Legion Boys Nation. His mother was a teacher at Calexico High School in Calexico, California during the 1980s and 1990s. After high school, Logue studied History at Harvard University. While there, he was a member of the Signet Society. He travels back and forth to Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, where his mother lives, and holds both Irish and Canadian citizenship. Logue has homes in Los Angeles and Oregon. When not acting, Logue is heavily involved in soccer, and regularly plays for the Los Angeles-based amateur team Hollywood United.
Logue has a Class-A Commercial Drivers License and is licensed to drive tractor-trailers with double or triple trailers, tankers and hazardous materials. He has a Hardwood company with one partner called Frison-Logue Hardwood, and a trucking company called Aisling Trucking with two partners based out of Central Point, Oregon, which the three founded in 2012.
Donal Francis Logue plays the part of a former U.S. Marshal named Lee Toric, who was forced to retire due to his affliction with Huntington's Disease and his excessive use of force on the job. After the murder of his sister, Pamela, by prison inmate Otto Delaney, Toric began a one man war against the Sons of Anarchy and their loved ones. He was a primary antagonist in the early episodes of Season 6, his death having major ramifications for Tara Knowles and Nero Padilla.
